With 150 millimetres of travel, balanced geometry and a wheel mix (29" front, 27.5" rear), the Flyer Uproc X should be just as convincing on moderate tours as it is on demanding trail use. We are already familiar with many details of the high-quality carbon frame from the Enduro Uproc 6: the lateral battery removal, the generous frame protection and the generous carbon insert create a high-quality overall look. The latest version of the Panasonic GX Ultimate Pro is completely new. The power pack is said to deliver 95 Nm and weigh just 2.9 kilos. Power is supplied by a Flyer battery with 750 watt hours.
The all-round characteristics should ensure a geometry that is not too extreme: a generous reach (470 mm for size L), a 65 mm steering angle and fairly long chainstays (460 mm). It starts at 5199 euros. Considering the high-quality full carbon frame and the large battery, this is a real statement. Especially as Flyer isn't exactly known for affordable entry-level bikes. The Uproc X 9.50 (pictured) goes all out with electronic AXS shifting components and the AXS wireless dropper post from Sram. It costs 9999 euros.
Exciting for cross-over bikers: With the Goroc X (140 mm, 29 inch), Flyer has a model in its programme which, thanks to its full equipment (pannier rack, mudguards, lighting system), also shines in everyday life and on moderate multi-day tours. A special highlight: an additional battery with 540 watt hours can be fitted to the down tube. With 1290 Wh, you won't run out of juice so quickly, even when fully loaded.
