Ibis Mojo Carbon
CONCLUSION: super-soft chassis, highly customised look, sporty and comfortable. Ibis is a tip for individualists.

The Ibis "Mojo Carbon" has rarity value, sells a Wilhelminian feeling and is a statement of individualism. The unique frame design, the special "DW-Link" chassis and five possible colours (plus 150 euros) speak for themselves. For the first time, Ibis is using carbon as a material for the "Mojo". The suspension is super-soft both uphill and downhill, and the fork and shock harmonise very well with each other. You can even disregard the platform function of the Fox shock, it bobs only slightly despite the 143 millimetres of suspension travel. The bike's weaknesses lie in its low lateral stiffness. Difficult trails with tight corners that require full steering precision are not the Ibis's métier. This is also confirmed by our test bench measurements. It is a bike for Californian trails, where there is more trail flow than rough rocky deserts; where extravagance counts more than dry scores. The sporty handling and low weight are great. The price is also reasonable. The lack of a bottle cage position costs the "very good" rating.
