Ghost AMR Plus 5900
The AMR Plus 5900 from Ghost is a solid touring bike with a wide range of uses. Reasonably equipped. However, the shock setup is not ideal.

In the all-mountain sector, the models in the AMR Plus series are a safe bet. Robust, mature, wide range of use, very good geometry. We tested the 5900, the most affordable model with a timeless and easy-care aluminium look. The chassis is stiff enough for heavy riders, but quite heavy. In terms of equipment, Ghost relies on a mix of Shimano Deore levers with SLX front derailleur and XT rear derailleur. Ergonomically, the Deore parts are good and work precisely. Due to the rather high weight, agility falls by the wayside, but you'll be pleased with the high tracking stability and precision downhill. We were surprised by the suspension: neither the fork nor the shock offer the full suspension travel, and the X-Fusion shock in particular did not impress us. The Ghost rear suspension, which is very comfortable and sensitive in itself, works better with Fox Shock.

The alternative
If you invest 500 euros more in the AMR Plus 7500, you get higher quality equipment (Shimano XT), a better shock (Fox Float) and save around 300 grams.
