In terms of price/performance, Ghost has had a good run in the current season. As innocent as the new AMR LT (Long Travel) looks in the carbon version (LC), it has a lot going for it.

An almost complete Shimano XT groupset including brakes and hubs (the cassette comes from the SLX) means top function and a long service life. The carbon frame weighs little and the telescopic seat post makes downhill riding easier. However, the AMR prefers to go uphill. Adjusted for equipment, it is the lightest bike in the test group. The riding position is good. The bike practically snuffs out long climbs. The suspension is very comfortable, with some pedal kickback in the small leaf. If you switch from the downhill-orientated competitors to the Ghost, you will of course notice the shorter suspension travel. It's clear that 120 millimetres at the rear reach the limit faster than 140, but in terms of comfort, there's nothing lacking here.

Conclusionclassic, well-engineered all-mountain sports fully with high-quality equipment. Within the test group, the AMR is categorised as a sports bike.

PLUS Five frame sizes, solid and high-quality equipment, lightweight frame
MINUS Narrow handlebars, moderately stiff

The alternative Deore brakes instead of XT and cheaper wheels make the AMR LT 6 LC model around 300 grams heavier, but save money. It costs 2699 euros. The carbon frame remains the same.
