Ghost AMR 5900
The Ghost AMR 5900 is a very solid, reliable touring companion with a high-quality component mix. Just a little too heavy for very sporty use.

The AMR platform from Waldsassen has been a firm favourite in the all-mountain league for years. A short top tube and the fairly high front allow a comfortable, relatively upright riding position. The high overall weight only disturbs sporty second hunters. However, the aluminium AMR is not aimed at them. Touring riders can cover plenty of kilometres on the quiet, solid chassis. Downhill, the powerful, easy to modulate Deore brakes with large brake discs decelerate confidently, while the Nobby Nic tyres reliably maintain contact with the ground in every situation. The AMR 5900 lacks decisive points for the overall rating of "very good" in terms of paint quality and weight. However, this only minimally detracts from the impressive overall impression.

ConclusionVery solid, reliable touring companion with a high-quality component mix. Just a little too heavy for very sporty use.

PLUS Balanced geometry, high-quality equipment, good brakes, five frame sizes, bottle cage
MIUS High total weight, heavy wheels

The alternative: To celebrate its 20th birthday, Ghost is launching the AMR Lector in a special edition for 2399 euros. The 120 mm fully with carbon frame is equipped with an SLX/XT mix and Rock Shox suspension parts.
