Fullys from 1000 to 1500 euros
It doesn't always have to be champagne. In our big mega test, we chased 30 entry-level full-sussers for 1000 to 1500 euros over the trails. We tell you how much bike you get for your money.

Since the first Olympic Games, we have only known one motto: faster, higher, further. But chasing the best times is expensive. The winners triumph on hard-wearing and exclusive equipment. The investment is only worthwhile if you are racing for victory. Because with a high-end bike, you might be ten minutes faster in a four-hour marathon. Who can and wants to afford that? The Racefullys (in BIKE 4/04) cost an average of almost 3600 euros. Too much for the average earner.

It's no wonder that there is so much interest in a test for bikes between 1000 and 1500 euros. In this price range, you will find a large selection of bikes from all areas of use, with a wide variety of equipment and rear suspension systems, from single-pivot to four-pivot to exotic systems such as the "i-Drive" on the GT or the parallelogram on the Mongoose.

The bikes in this test:
Bergamont Rockaddict, Canyon Nerve XC 4, Centurion Backfire LRS 1, Chaka Kapu Wahine, Corratec Airtech Twister, Cube XC Comp, Diamondback Rattler Comp, Dynamics Freezer, Fat FS 4-0 Scandium, Focus Super Bud LTD, Ghost RT 5500, Giant NRS 3, GT I-Drive 3.0, Hai Scream, Heavy Tools Dot Three, Kona Kikapu, KTM Pro XCA 1.0, Maxx Razormaxx X9, Merida Mission Speed, Mongoose Sommet, Nishiki FS, Poison Morphium LX, Radon QLT 3, Red Bull NPL 300, Specialized FSR XC Pro, Stevens F-9 Lite "V", Univega SL-5, Wheeler Hornet 35
