Good weight, modern, flat geometry, boot in the down tube and a still affordable price: 3999 Euro - the One55 with 155 millimetres of suspension travel seems to have what it takes to be the perfect budget trail enduro bike. At least on paper. But is it potent enough to hunt in enduro terrain? The first ride with my new long-term tester took place under race conditions. At the Enduro One race in Roßbach, we got down to business on rough tracks.
Due to the poorly adjusted chain guide, the chain fell off the chainring several times on the first day of the race. Annoying! But with the chain guide adjusted, the blue trail bike ran without any problems. Thanks to the low weight, the pleasing geo and the solid equipment, the Cube One55 is easy to catapult into the air, but has enough stability to take a beating in stone fields, root carpets and other junk. That's a good thing! For a bike in frame size L, however, 150 millimetres of travel in the seatpost is too little.
