The Ant is a completely new and in-house development by the Fatmodul crew. There are real bike freaks behind it, as you can see from the many frame details, the combination of parts and the fun you have on the test lap. The uphill is not the Ant's speciality, but you get to the top. The singletrack that follows is fun, the bike has reserves in the suspension, feels manoeuvrable, stiff and takes the rocky downhill at high speed. Thick tyres, short stem and thru-axle are the ingredients for riding stability. If the rear end is not very sensitive on the climbs, it is very plush on the descents. The frame has an ISCG mount, SAG display and well thought-out cable routing.
ConclusionIf you are looking for a compact, handy fun machine, the Ant is the right choice. Borderline to the enduro.
