In addition to an MX version with a small rear wheel and aluminium models, fans of smaller wheels can also look forward to several new 27.5-inch models. The Spectral CFR, which is also new in this test, is the lightest version of the border crosser, which straddles the line between all-mountain and enduro, at a price of € 5999. Thanks to the use of higher-quality carbon fibres and a lighter paint finish, the CFR frame alone saves 275 grams compared to the standard Spectral. The total weight is an attractive 13.3 kilos without pedals, which is also helped by the high-quality Shimano XTR equipment, Canyon's own handlebar/stem unit and the lightweight DT carbon wheels.
The test costs 0.99 euros. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them, hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
