E-all-rounder: Storck E:drenalin in the first test
We've put it to the test: the first e-mountainbike from the traditional German manufacturer Storck: the E:drenalin.

With E-MTBs, it's not just enduro riders who enjoy plenty of suspension travel, touring bikers also benefit from it. The traditional German brand Storck clearly recognises this. The E:drenalin merges two worlds: 160 millimetres of suspension travel paired with a lightweight carbon frame. Massive Fox 36 fork paired with tame Schwalbe Rocket Ron plus tyres. The geometry is also orientated more towards a classic all-rounder than a wild enduro bike. The E:drenalin gives you a sporty, stretched-out position and efficient climbing.

When you turn off-road, the wide plus-size tyres provide plenty of comfort, and the suspension also works sensitively and confidently: the rear suspension offers plenty of travel and feels like more than the measured 140 millimetres. However, due to the low progression in the shock, the bike only has limited reserves for aggressive riding on fast and bumpy sections. The same applies to the tame tyres and the moderate geometry - this makes the E:drenalin fully trail-ready, but slows it down somewhat in demanding terrain. A shorter stem and wider handlebars could help here. The Continental motor is powered by a 636 Wh battery and thus achieves an impressive altitude of 1839 metres. In terms of maximum power and torque, the drive cannot keep up with a Bosch or Shimano motor, which is clearly noticeable. On the other hand, the Brose-typical power unit (the hardware comes from Brose's Drive-T drive) impresses with a natural ride feel and smooth running. On our test bike (pre-production model), however, the motor was not quite as quiet as we are used to from other Continental bikes.

Conclusion on the Storck E:drenalin

Comfortable all-rounder with a very high reach and plenty of reserves for off-road terrain. Top for long, demanding tours. If you are looking for a racy enduro bike for wild trails, you will find better companions.
