Cube Sting WLS
The smallest bike in the test has the most sensitive rear suspension and a successful geometry. It is even recommended for women under 1.55 metres.

The testers were unusually unanimous when it came to the Cube "Sting WLS". Both the race-style black colour scheme with subtle turquoise stripes and the thoroughly successful suspension were convincing. No other rear suspension in the test filtered out even the smallest bumps from the ground with such sensitivity. A true sedan chair. The shock setup also harmonised. Despite the adjustment to the low rider weight, the suspension elements were not over-damped. While the relaxed riding position ensures good handling and a high level of safety on downhill sections, the front wheel rises due to the high front end on steep sections. Only the elaborate turning of the "U-Turn" knob on the "Reba" fork optimises the uphill characteristics. With slightly wider tyres and more grip, at least on the front wheel, the all-round characteristics of the "Sting" would increase significantly. As is typical for Cube, the rest of the components are of very high quality. Easton complete wheels, lightweight Syntace parts and "XT"/"X.9" mix leave hardly anything to be desired. The powerful Formula "K24" stoppers with a large front disc and the sporty, comfortable Fizik saddle also scored points with the testers. Only the shock selector lever cannot be reached while riding due to its position behind the seat tube.
