The Cube Stereo wins the test with the most successful overall package. Undoubtedly one of the best all-rounders on the market.

Cube wins the test straight away with the new Stereo in Carbon. Although the bike doesn't stand out from the others in the practical test, it scores points in all criteria. Cube has effectively improved the 2010 Stereo in several areas. The new carbon fibre main frame saves 500 grams compared to the aluminium model and remains stiff enough. Cube has also given the bike a long 150 mm Fox fork, which benefits the downhill capabilities. The wide tyres are perfect for this category and the powerful Avid brakes provide the necessary security. Shimano's XT groupset, tried and tested Syntace parts and DT wheels round off the package and leave no room for criticism. Cube offers the highest quality suspension elements.

The rear works uphill without the influence of the drive, but is not as sensitive as some competitors. You don't need the platform. Both uphill and downhill, you feel very comfortable in the saddle, the bike leaves a sporty impression and offers full control downhill - even if Ghost, Trek and Rotwild feel a touch more confident downhill.

CONCLUSIONThe Cube Stereo wins the test with the most successful overall package. Undoubtedly one of the best all-rounders on the market.
