New for 2014 are the 27.5 mm wheels, which, as we all know, come with increased weight. 3.3 kilos for the chassis and 4.3 kilos for the complete wheels are above average. The addition Race in the model name is therefore misleading, even though you sit sportily and master even long climbs perfectly - the balanced geometry has proven itself. With the low bottom bracket and the long wheelbase, you feel safe when riding downhill at high speeds, the suspension responds well and swallows large obstacles better than most of the competition. The AMS 130 is the best buy for tall, heavy riders.
ConclusionEven with 27.5-inch wheels, the Cube AMS remains the all-rounder par excellence. A bike with many strengths at a fair price.
PLUS Complete Shimano XT equipment, high stiffness, confident handling
