The compact riding position makes it clear as soon as you get on that Conway is aimed more at relaxed tourers. First of all, we lowered the high cockpit by a few spacer rings. Climbing uphill is still more comfortable than sporty, but it feels good. The rear suspension developed by German:A. is pleasingly drive-neutral and doesn't need a platform. Going downhill, the entire chassis springs and damps effectively, has plenty of suspension and the powerful brakes (large discs!) also increase riding safety. A look at the equipment list shows the usual class standard without luxury.
CONCLUSIONReasonable touring bike with a good chassis. However, the colourless look doesn't knock your socks off.
TUNING TIPLower the cockpit - remove the spacers!
