Canyon Nerve AL+ 9.0
The Canyon Nerve AL+ 9.0 is a very comfortable and well-equipped touring bike for the money.

You always have to have Canyon on your radar. The new 150-millimetre aluminium chassis is technically state-of-the-art and is one of the lighter in the test field. 13 kilos for the complete bike including the dropper post marks the best value of the comparison (lightest wheels), which also applies to the absolute frame stiffness. The equipment makes you perfectly happy, you don't need more. On the test lap: noticeably manoeuvrable and powerful on the climbs, the shock needs the platform setting, otherwise it dives too much. The very agile handling is partly due to the small frame, the requested size L was not available. Even for size M, the geometry is compact. Downhill you have to choose your line carefully, the Nerve is not one of the monster trucks like the Cube or Giant, which are not afraid of anything. The linear characteristic curve allows you to fully utilise the suspension travel (comfort), but the shock could do with more compression.

Conclusionvery comfortable, well-equipped touring bike for the money. A bike with a wide comfort zone. Only in the red zone downhill reserves are missing.

PLUS Lightest bike in the test group, harmoniously equipped, comfortable suspension
MINUS Damper rocks uphill, lacks reserves at very high speeds (progression/compression).
