The battery hangs upside down in front of the down tube. Advantage: low centre of gravity and greater design freedom for the geometry. The Moterra scored highly in the riding test. It sits firmly on the trail and conveys a lot of confidence downhill despite the firm suspension. Thanks to the short stays, it can still be manoeuvred with ease. However - and this is also a tradition - Cannondale riders have to make compromises when it comes to the equipment: no dropper post, cheap fork, the gearing is too long and the brakes are only mid-range.
ConclusionTop frame with an unusual design and clear advantages. Very good riding characteristics, but only mediocre equipment.
