Bergamont's Threesome looks marathon-capable and suggests a climbing character thanks to the low cockpit. In fact, the bike is one of the better climbers in the test group, but the high weight cannot be denied. On the other hand, the suspension is drive-neutral and the steel spring fork responds to every pebble, even uphill. Downhill, the front-heavy riding position leads to a feeling of rolling over, and the weak Avid brakes don't inspire much confidence. The rebound adjustment on the shock only has one usable position, but the fork has a lockout on the handlebars.
CONCLUSION: The fulfilment lies in the low mountain range. Extreme terrain is not the Bergamont's habitat.
