The trail bike scores the most points on the climbs. The combination of a high front end, moderate reach and steep seat angle places the rider comfortably and balanced on the bike. Not too long, but not too short either - this makes long days in the saddle easier. Lightweight wheels, Schwalbe tyres with a fast Speedgrip rubber compound and the comparatively featherweight total weight of 12.8 kilos give the Neuron a range boost and make it fun to ride on undulating trails. In open mode, the rear suspension doesn't bob even when pedalling out of the saddle and converts every watt of pedalling power into propulsion. And without any loss of traction - chapeau! Despite its moderate geometry, the Neuron with its high front end and harmonious suspension provides sufficient riding confidence on downhills. The bike masters winding trails and fast cornering with ease thanks to the steep steering angle. However, on high-speed sections and when the going gets tough, it has to let the competition with flatter geometries and more downhill-orientated components go. Weak brakes and poor puncture protection!
The Neuron climbs confidently, descends well and offers a great overall package for anyone who wants to cover a lot of kilometres and have fun on their bike even in tamer terrain.
