The mountain calls, the All Mountains follow. Strong climbers for the high mountains, stable downhill riders. Eight all-mountain bikes in the 3500 euro class with up to 150 millimetres of suspension travel show that they are the best all-rounders on the market.

Every year after the autumn trade shows, when the new products are known, the catalogues distributed, the orders made, when the initial hype has died down, we ask ourselves the crucial question: Are the new bikes really a step forward? Specifically for this test group, this means: What can we expect from the 2009 all-mountain vintage? Are there any innovations that will motivate you to buy? Do the 2009 bikes ride better than the 2008 models? You could already get the feeling from the first presentations: A lot has changed. And to start with: all the bikes are at an unprecedentedly high level. During the test, our crew agreed that nobody needs more bikes than they get in this test group. Spending more money than the average of 3500 euros in this test group? Unnecessary.
