All-mountain bike Intense Primer S on test
With the switch to direct sales, the US cult brand Intense is taking off with more attractive prices. We tested the All Mountain Primer.

Always rooted in racing, innovative and classy - these are just three attributes that inevitably spring to mind when you think of the US brand Intense. However, the term "affordable" has never been appropriate for the cult brand founded by Jeff Steber in 1992. With hard-calculated prices and the switch to direct sales, the Americans have recently adopted a much more customer-friendly approach. The new Intense Primer S with Öhlins suspension and eThirteen components costs a fair 5699 euros. The entry-level Primer Expert model is already available for 3799 euros, mind you with the same 2840 gram carbon frame.

You can find the detailed test report on the Intense Primer S from BIKE 3/2021 as a PDF in the download area below.

The test costs 0.99 euros. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them, hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
