Test all-mountain e-bikes: comparison of brand new all-rounders for around 6000 euros

On average, EMTB readers want to invest exactly 6286 euros in their next bike. That's a little more than would be necessary for a model with solid equipment - as our test in the small premium class shows. Five candidates from mail order and specialist retailers compared.

Obea, Ibis, BMC & Simplon: Hot new products for spring

New e-bikes, light & fun: The aluminium version of the Orbea Rise was presented a year ago, and now the Spaniards are following up with the next update. The US brand Ibis presents the new Oso fun machine with Bosch drive. Everything on the new BMC Fourstroke AMP is designed for low weight. And Simplon is unveiling two top innovations in a row: the new Rapcon TQ light e-MTB and a new version of the Rapcon CX, now with Bosch's Smart System.

Automatic: How well does the Shimano XT Di2 work?

Shimano now wants to transfer what has long been part of everyday life in cars to mountain bikes: automated shifting. Can Auto-Shift really work in off-road sports? And what else does the new Shimano XT Di2 have to offer? EMTB has already had the chance to try out the brand new electric flagship.

Scott Lumen: Only 15.5 kilos - Premiere for the super-light bike

The Scott Lumen redefines the boundaries for light e-bikes: weight under 16 kilos, maximum integration, extremely quiet thanks to the TQ-HPR50 motor. The Swiss company is thus setting a precedent for a new e-bike category: down-country e-bikes.

Orbea Wild: The new enduro bike from the Spaniards

Orbea is relaunching the E-Fully Wild as a thoroughbred enduro bike. The permanently installed battery does limit the target group. However, high rigidity, short chainstays and a low weight sound promising for full-throttle fans.

Focus Jam² SL: The lightweight all-rounder with Fazua drivetrain on test

No record weight, no daring geometry: the Focus Jam² SL avoids extremes - and that is precisely the strength of the lightweight Fazua bike.

As a commuter bike for the journey to work and as a fun machine for leisure time: SUV bikes are all the rage. But which models can really be recommended for off-road use?

Winter gloves test: 6 hand warmers compared

Nothing works without warm gloves in winter. However, it is difficult to find models that really heat up on the one hand, but at the same time maintain a good grip on the handlebars. Which winter glove manages the balancing act best?

Tyrol: Hut tour to the Gufferthütte on Lake Achensee

The Blauberge mountains undulate on the eastern shore of Lake Achensee. An almost inconspicuous mountain range compared to the Karwendel rock bastion opposite. But on this classic tour with an overnight stay at the Gufferthütte, you can still enjoy true mountain peace.
