Bike parks are supposed to be action arenas, guarantees of riding fun, holiday destinations and excursion destinations for the family. But what exactly are the needs of the visitors and who actually goes to the bike park? Management student Christian Rauter is looking into these questions. The results of his master's thesis should help bike park and cable car operators, among others, to review and adapt their offers. Take part in the survey now!

BIKE reader Christian Rauter is studying Strategic Management and Tourism at the Management Centre Innsbruck. With the help of a survey as part of his master's thesis, he wants to find out what needs bike park visitors have and who rides the different trails. The questionnaire takes around 8 minutes to complete and the survey will run until the end of May 2023. Excerpts of the results will also be available on bike-magazin.de from August.

In his study, Christian Rauter analyses different types of bike park visitors in order to derive recommendations for action for operators. By taking part in the survey, you can help to better customise bike park offers to your personal needs. The survey focuses on areas such as infrastructure, motivational factors and travel and risk behaviour.

The Participation in this survey (external link) is voluntary and can be cancelled at any time. If the questionnaire is interrupted, the data will be saved so that it can be continued at a later date. The results of the survey will only be used for scientific purposes and cannot be traced back to you personally. The data will be deleted after completion of the Master's thesis.
