Commencal, known for fast bikes in the World Cup, is expanding its range to include a lifestyle collection for 2026, where the Andorra mail-order company wants to have used materials and production processes that are as responsible as possible.
Clothing is far more than just fabric that protects us from wind, rain or prying eyes. It is a statement, a little piece of theatre that we perform every morning on the stage of everyday life. With every outfit, we say: "This is how I see myself - and this is how I want to be seen." Sometimes we want to look cool and casual, sometimes serious, sometimes simply comfortable so that no one realises that we are actually still sleepy.
Our clothes tell stories about us: from hobbies, favourite colours or lifestyle to the question of which groups we belong to - consciously or unconsciously. A skate shirt, a suit or our favourite jeans become symbols, signals, small clues to our identity. And depending on our mood, whim or occasion, we change the "story" we tell the world.
Clothing is also a bit of magic: it can give us self-confidence, give us courage or simply put us in a good mood. It is a mirror of our personality, but also a tool that allows us to try things out and play around. In a world where many things happen silently and unnoticed, our outfits often speak louder than words - and sometimes a witty slogan on a T-shirt makes more of a statement than any sentence we would ever say otherwise.
In short, we don't just dress to be covered up. We dress to be seen, understood - and sometimes even a little admired.
Made in Portugal, the collection uses organic cotton that fulfils high environmental standards. The garments are designed for everyday wear, with updated cuts, durable materials and a design that reflects the brand's identity, according to Commencal.
Skate-inspired elements are intended to support the sport, but the collection is primarily designed for everyday use all year round. No distinction is made between use on the bike and the rest of everyday life.
The 2026 lifestyle collection is now available. Interested? Then check out the Commencal website.
