Fox Factory's Speciality Sports Group has announced a far-reaching change to its distribution structure for German-speaking countries. The company has entered into a new partnership with Fürth-based distributor Cosmic Sports. This cooperation marks a significant change in Fox Factory's operational structure for the aftermarket sector in Germany and Austria - in other words, for customer contact. From 1 May 2025, Cosmic Sports will gradually take over responsibility for sales, service and warranty processing for the FOX, Marzocchi, Race Face and Easton Cycling brands. However, there will also be redundancies as part of this reorganisation.
With this strategic decision, Fox Factory is pursuing the goal of optimising support for dealers and end users in the region. At the same time, the realignment will allow Fox Factory's core team to focus more on product development and OEM customer support, according to a press release. Chris Tutton, President of Fox Factory's Specialty Sports Group, emphasises the benefits of this partnership. He explains that with over 25 years of experience and a well-established dealer network, Cosmic Sports is in a unique position to provide outstanding service to Fox Factory brands and their retail partners.
More news from the bike industry:
Gerhard Schwarz, CEO and founder of Cosmic Sports, emphasises the importance of this cooperation for his company. He sees the addition of the Fox Factory brands to the Cosmic Sports portfolio as a significant milestone. Schwarz emphasises his company's full commitment to this new partnership and stresses that it fits perfectly with Cosmic Sports' strategic vision.
The partnership will officially come into effect on 1 May 2025. During a transition phase until 30 September 2025, Fox Factory GmbH will continue to offer the usual services in parallel with Cosmic Sports. From 1 October 2025, Cosmic Sports will then become the primary contact for all matters relating to aftermarket support, service and warranty processing and will assume these functions exclusively.
This reorganisation could lead to a simplification of ordering processes and more efficient warehousing. At the same time, Fox Factory's focus on product development and OEM support may enable a faster market launch of innovations and closer cooperation with bicycle manufacturers. For end consumers, this could result in wider availability and possibly also faster service processing in the long term.
