FREERIDE editor-in-chief knows: It's pretty cool to have a good present and pretty shameful not to have one. Dimi: "Oh boy, I hate shopping for Christmas presents and usually put it off until it's too late. Sad! I say: do it differently! Nevertheless, my tips come "last minute" before Christmas - ha, ha!
A photo by super photographer Sven Martin sparked my enthusiasm for the leopard look. The photo was the inspiration for my first gift tip. In the picture, downhill world cup rider Amaury Pierron was seen kicking up dust for the new bike action film "Deathgrip II". His helmet: in leopard print. His jersey: in leopard print. His bike: in leopard print. So cool! The Bookman label offers reflective leopard spots as stickers. Very durable, very sticky. However, only a few on a small sheet for 7 euros. Enough for one side of a helmet, for example. Or as a personal touch on the bike frame or fork.
Why ride around like everyone else when you can quickly do things differently! For example with a little leo look! - Dimi Lehner, FREERIDE
An uncomfortable grip on a test-winning bike can ruin the whole riding experience. That's why we've started replacing grips that are too thick, too spongy, too hard, too "whatever" on test bikes with the Ergon GE1 Evo Factory Slim. Because the grip is how a grip should be and the biker/bike interface is simply too important to make mistakes here.
My favourite grip feels great in the hand, is easy to fit and looks like a designer object, so beautifully styled. And as grips always wear out at some point, this grip is a perfect gift with great value for money. Guaranteed! In my opinion, anyone who isn't happy about a GE1 has got a chip on their shoulder. Or is not a mountain biker.

Admittedly, 629 euros is a lot of money. But you also get a lot in return, namely gold coins for your adventure piggy bank. Because I recommend the Gravity Card. This season ticket gives you access to 31 bike parks in Europe. That means shredding until your synapses drown in dopamine. Rocking the Sic 58 black jump track in Livigno, doubling everything on the Supernatural in Serfaus Fiss Ladis, really getting to grips with the Tschak Norris in Brandnertal, getting through the Hotshots in Leogang without cascading and having a barbecue on the Geisskopf after a great day with the buddies and watching the stars twinkle! These are the moments that you remember at the end of the year and that make your soul sing.
The best gift of all: Time on the bike. For example with the Gravity Card. Because: We love to ride park. - Dimi Lehner from FREERIDE
