Alban Lakata - the marathon man
One week before the 2017 World Marathon Championships in Singen, Alban Lakata reckons he has a good chance of winning a medal. The video shows how Lakata lives and trains in his East Tyrolean homeland.

As a two-time MTB world champion and course record holder at the legendary Leadville 100, only victory counts for Alban Lakata in competition. The video gives you an impression of what it means to juggle family, training and discipline. Lakata (37), who has been riding marathons and stage races for Team Topeak-Ergon for years, lives with his young family in Lienz in East Tyrol and is one of the best long-distance specialists on the MTB circuit. At the Marathon World Championships in Singen on 25 June 2017, Lakata is aiming for a medal.
