The ROCKY MOUNTAIN bike marathon Willingen powered by VAUDE , that always has been one of the great marathons in Europe, will reach a new high in the year 2009 again. Route manager Volker Schröder will go through all trouble of making slight changes in the routes and design in order to make them as attractive as possible for the participant.The central highlight of the 3-day bike festival in 2009 will yet again be the ROCKY MOUNTAIN's bike marathon on Saturday. This year there will be 3 rounds to choose from; here the organizer would also like to tend to the interest the young bikers.

You will soon be able see the exact information concerning the rounds and the height profiles on the website.

All rounds pass by the festival area and here the participant are offered the “free route choice”, i.e. after each round the participant can decide to drive on or to finish the race.

This year the finishing area will not be at the ice hall in Willingen, but like previous years at the entree of the festival area! Here the participants are welcomed by moderation, music, drinks and catering.
Catering stations, which also offers basic technical service, are fitted along the round.

Experience shows that the weather can be damp in Willingen, so

• lots of KÄRCHER equipment can bee picked up at the bike wash
• lots of hot soups is served on the round and at the finishing area
• many prayers will be sent to the sky
